First Annual "Shop with a Cop" program
"Making a difference, one kid at a time"

On Saturday, December 15, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. to noon, the Banning Police Activities League hosted the First Annual Shop with a Cop program. Twenty-one children from the City of Banning and two children from the City of Beaumont, were treated to a special day of holiday fun and shopping by police officers and firefighters from local agencies. The morning began at 8:00 a.m. at the Banning Police Department with a limousine ride and police escort to a home-style cooked breakfast served by police officers, firefighters and volunteers. After breakfast, the children were escorted by police to Wal-Mart in Beaumont where they were handed $100 (one hundred one dollar bills) in cash. The children were told that they could spend their money any way they chose. The limousine service was provided by Dream Makers Specialty Limousine Service at no cost. B.P.A.L. would like to thank the following sponsors who made Shop with a Cop possible.
